Pakistan-South Africa series live on Ten Sports

It promises to become one of the most exciting series in recent times when South Africa commence their tour of Pakistan, and Ten Sports, the most watched sports channel of the sub-continent, will be there to cover each and every ball delivered.

Despite all the controversies surrounding the team, Pakistan did exceptionally well to reach the final of the World Twenty20 Championship recently in South Africa. Under the leadership of new captain Shoaib Malik and coach Geoff Lawson, the hosts will be in confident mood as they take on the South Africans.

Graeme Smith and his men, on the other hand, will be eager to get over the disappointment of not making it to the semi-finals of the Twenty20 Championship with a good performance in the series.

The two teams will battle it out in two Test matches and five one day internationals during the short trip. All the five one-dayers are scheduled to be day-night affairs.

According to Safia Tufail the correspondence of Ten Sports in Pakistan, the series will starts with the two Test matches at Karachi (October 1-5) and Lahore (October 8-12). The teams will then stay at Lahore for the first two one-dayers (October 18 & 20), followed by Faisalabad (October 23), Multan (October 26) and Karachi (October 29).

The South Africa-Pakistan series and the simultaneous telecast of the Sri Lanka-England series in Sri Lanka will just act as an appetiser as Ten Sports has lined up non-stop international cricket action till July 2008.
