PIMS sends report on journalists to MoH
ISLAMABAD—After publishing of the news regarding corruption and
irregularities in Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS),
Executive Director Dr. Fazal Hadi has sent a report against the
officials meeting with journalists.
According to the sources, ED Dr. Fazal Hadi after news reports regarding
corruption of Rs. 8.5 million in the purchasing of Water Tanks and
utilization of substandard medicines and suo motu action taken by the
Supreme Court has alleged his staff provided news to the media.
The report, which was sent to Health Secretary by ED Dr. Fazal Hadi
blamed that corruption is being exposed as the employees of the PIMS are
involved in providing news to media. Sources further said that
revengeful action is being taken against the employees who met with the
reporters of the newspapers and the employees of PIMS have been given
the task to monitor the activities of suspected employees. According to
the sources, the Executive Director instead of eliminating corruption is
taking the action against those who are exposing the corruption and on
the other hand the citizens are facing immense difficulties in getting
proper treatment in the hospital.—Online |
