Aitzaz in run for SCBA top slot

ISLAMABAD—The filing of nomination papers for the Presidential Election of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) to be held on October 27 has been started.
Justice (retd) Tariq Mehmood while talking to journalists here said that the lawyers fraternity unanimously nominated Chaudhary Aitzaz Ahsan for the post of the President of SCBA.
The prospers of Aitzaz Ahsan include Justice (retd) Tariq Mehmood, Qalab Hasan, Ali Ahmed Kurd and Hamid Khan. The candidate for the slot of the President of Supreme Court Bar Association, Ikram Chaudhary announced to withdraw in the favor of Aitzaz Ahsan, adding that he (Aitzaz) is highly respectable for the journalists’ community.
Aitzaz Ahsan on the occasion expressed his gratitude to the lawyers’ community over his nomination for the slot of President SCBA vows to continue struggle for rule of law and supremacy of the constitution.
