Skyrocketing prices of vegetables, fruits irking masses

ISLAMABAD—Despite tall claims by the Government not to over charge masses, skyrocketing prices of vegetables and fruits are further augmenting the miseries of common man during the holy month of Ramadan.
The markets of Federal Capital are flooded with people who have come to buy eatables, however they are going back with a dejected face when they hear the prices of potatoes, lemons, apples, bananas, grapes, mangoes, water melons and other eatables. On the other hand, shopkeepers opine that they buy fruits and vegetables on higher rates from the Open Market and cannot sell the stuff on lower rates otherwise, they will be malnourished.—Agencies
