Proposal to impose section 144

PESHAWAR—A proposal for the imposition of section 144 is under consideration in Ministry of Interior in four provinces to face any untoward incident on the eve of Presidential election on 6th October. According to details, APDM and lawyers fraternity has announced to besiege all the provincial assemblies and held sitin in Islamabad on the eve of Presidential election. Keeping in view the situation of law and order, Federal Government would depute the heavy contingent of Police, Frontier Constabulary, Frontier Corps, Rangers and Security forces in all the provinces including Islamabad while proposal to impose the section 144 in all the provinces including Islamabad is being considered.—Online
