Tripartite
meeting discusses Afghan border security
CHAMAN—A tripartite meeting of Pakistan-Afghanistan-NATO was held here
on Sunday to review security of Pak-Afghan border and increase
coordination among three stakeholders to check illegal cross border
movement, Frontier Corps sources told APP.
The meeting hailed the security arrangements so far taken by Pakistan
and outstanding performance of its forces deployed on the border. The
meeting decided that security of the border would be strengthened on
both sides so that no one could cross the border illegally. It also
decided that the tripartite meeting will be held monthly in order to
enhance coordination among them.
Brigadier General Lorche, and two other officials Elims and Dougler
represented NATO, General Saifullah Khan and Colonel Baseer Khan
represented Afghanistan while FC Commandant Colonel Masood Ahmed,
Colonel Nasir and other officials represented Pakistan in the
meeting.—APP |
