faltering to block Nawaz
LONDON—Saad Hariri, the son of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik
Hariri met former Prime Minister and PML-N chief Muhammad Nawaz Sharif
here, the sources said on Friday.
Saad Hariri conveyed an important message of Pakistan government to
Sharif brothers in the meeting, the sources claimed. The government of
Pakistan, as the sources said, advised the Sharif brothers in the
message that Shahbaz Sharif may come back to Pakistan on September 10
but Nawaz Sharif should not return till the holding of presidential
election.
On the other hand, the Sharif brothers in a reply to the message of
Pakistan government vowed that both the brothers would return to
Pakistan on September 10 at any cost. The PML (N) sources confirmed that
Saad Hariri, who had played important role the in agreement between
government and Sharif brothers under which they were freed from jail,
had held meeting with Nawaz Sharif to convey the message.
Leader of Pakistan Peoples Party, Ghulam Mustafa Khar met with PML-N
leader Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in London on Friday. According to a
private TV Channel reports, during the meeting which lasted for more
than one hour both the leaders discussed the current political
situation.
The issues of PPP deal with government and return of Mian Nawaz Sharif
also came under discussion during the meeting. After the meeting, Mian
Muhammad Nawaz Sharif while talking to the journalists said that it will
be his best effort to restore the 1973 constitution of Pakistan.
He further told that it was devise by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto but
unfortunately, Benazir Bhutto is doing nothing for its restoration.
While talking about the war on terror he said that the decision
regarding the war on terror will be made in the light of its approval
from the parliament house.
On the occasion, Ghulam Mustafa Khar strongly criticized Benazir Bhutto
and said that deal with government is not carried out by the PPP rather
Benazir Bhutto just for her personal interests. He further said that
Benazir Bhutto demonstrating lack of interest with the politics and
giving more priority to her personnel interests. Similarly, he said that
he would not let this deal succeeded. Meanwhile, PML leader Mir Zafar
Ullah Khan Jamali also telephoned Mian Nawaz Sharif.—Agencies |
