President greets Brazil on national day

ISLAMABAD—President General Pervez Musharraf has greeted federal republic of Brazil on its national day being celebrated on September 7. In him message to President of Brazil Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, President Musharraf said, “It gives me immense pleasure to convey on my behalf and on behalf of the people of Pakistan, our warmest greetings on the happy occasion of national day of the federal republic of Brazil.” “We attach great importance to our bilateral relations with Brazil, “said the President. In his message he further said, “I am confident that our two countries will continue to work for strengthening these traditionally friendly and cooperative ties by expanding cooperation in diverse fields.” He said, “Taking this opportunity, I convey my best wishes for your personal well being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Brazil.”—Agencies
