Ten killed over old enmity

BAHAWALPUR—At least ten persons including two kids were killed and thirteen sustained injures in a clash over old enmity here on Tuesday in suburb village Koundi in the jurisdiction of Police Station City. According to District Police Officer Sarwar Chaudhary, there was an old enmity over land dispute between Sadiq Baloch and his relatives Yousaf Baloch, which had claimed many lives. Last night nearly twelve armed persons of Sadiq Baloch group rushed to the house of their rivals located in the jurisdiction of Police Station City and fired at their house resulting in the death of four persons named Haji Nazar, his son Umer Yousaf, his daughters in law Manzoor Mai and Shama Mai, the DPO added. He further told that after this, the accused rushed to the Cha Saddle Wala and Chak Choor Annoy some one and half kilometer away and gunned downed Muhammad Sarfraz, Munir Ahmed, Shadoo Mai and Sajida Mai. Thirteen persons were injured in these incidents.—Agencies
