Producer sure of Victoria No-203 remake

BOMBAY—Imitation or adaptation whatever it may be Bollywood producers and directors are now giving new twists to their movies for maintaining the entertainment fervour. They do it through remix versions in old movies. ‘Victoria No-203’ is the latest to add to this list. Replying to questions raised by the our correspondent whether such remix ventures are the mere dot com ventures , the movie’s producer Kamal not only denied it but claimed that it is the demand of the day. In the same vein, he categorically denied that there is any sort of want of creativity in such ventures. He viewed that this is the taste of the present generation taste as is evident from their huge demand for old movies.
Actor Jimmy Shergill and actress Preeti Jhingiani along with Sonia Mehra (daughter of Vinod Mehra) are doing their best to appease the remix lovers. Besides, another leading director Ram Gopal Verma has already shown the way by direct the all-time favourite movie ‘Sholay’ this way. He has made the movie in his own style. It has been a big question for producer Kamal as well as for the actor and actresses whether such a remix venture will be a boon or bane for them as the real judges are the spectators in and around the country. However, both Jimmy and Kamal are confident that it will garner huge success in India as well as outside India. —Agencies
