Crackdown on PML-N workers

RAWALPINDI—After the announcement of the former PM, and exiled PML (N) head to return to Pakistan on 10th Sep, the police has started an immediate crackdown in order to arrest the active PML-N leaders and workers throughout Punjab.
However, following the directives of their head, all the active members and workers of the party have simply gone underground, Joint Secretary PML-N Punjab, Chaudhry Tanveer Khan has also confirmed the crackdown and arrest of PML-N workers, while SP Rawal Town Division Khurram Haider Warraich and other sources has denied any kind of operation or crackdown being carried out for the arrest of League workers.
Chaudhry Tanveer said that SP Civil Line Police along with heavy contingent of police force has raided at his residence in Chaklala Scheme-III at about 12:00 pm, but they did not succeed in their mission. Former Provincial Minister, Chaudhry Riaz who has joined PML-N recently was busy holding a meeting, which was dispersed by the police, who also closed the PML-N Tehsil office.
The league workers also protested against the government and chanted slogans but to no avail.—Online
