ITP to be institutionalized on modern lines: SSP Traffic

ISLAMABAD-SSP Traffic Islamabad; Zubair Hashmi expressed the resolve to institutionalize Islamabad Traffic Police; ITP, on modern grounds. He stated this while addressing a press conference, at the Traffic Office, here this Monday. SP Traffic Ashfaq Khan was also present at the occasion.
Speaking at the occasion, SSP Traffic expressed his resolve to make ITP in par with modern grounds while improving it as an institution at large. Taking strong note of smoke-emitting vehicles roaming around on the Capital's roads, he said that a campaign was to be launched on 15th September, in this regard.
He further stated that proper road engineering was needed for dealing with the mess of traffic on the road. Talking about various violations, the SSP expressed his annoyance on wheelers and over-speeders while warning that no one was above the law and promising to treat everyone fair and square.
He disclosed that Kashmir Highway would soon be blocked and traffic would be shifted to I.J. Principal Road, in order to deal with traffic crisis. Cop the Year award was also given at the occasion.
