Trade ties with Turkey to boost

Karachi—Pakistan is a very good market for the Turkish construction industry and allied sectors, but there is a need to properly explore and tap it. Oguz Gurdamar, head of the Turkish delegation consisting of 33 Turkish entrepreneurs, called on Turkish consul general Erdem Mutaf here at his residence on Monday. The delegation has come to participate in the 3rd Build Asia 2007 Exhibition at Expo Centre Karachi. Gurdamar said Turkey was looking forward to further strengthen bilateral trade relations. “Some of the participating companies are engaged in talks with Pakistani firms to set up joint ventures for manufacturing wooden and fiberglass doors and windows in Pakistan and export the products to other countries in the region,” he added.—Online
