Nehru University to open centre

NEW DELHI—Jawahar Lal Nehru University will set up examination centre in Pakistan to facilitate the Pakistan students. The Chief Proctor of JNU S.S. Binandar made the announcement to this effect, reports VOA. He said that this centre would help the Pakistani student in sitting admission test. He further said that JNU has been included in 200 prominent universities and the University will establish these kinds of centres in the SAARC countries. At present admission centres have been set up in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Binadar said that the university wanted to set up centres in Pakistan, but due to the strain relation ship between the two countries, progress could not be achieved. Now that the relation has improved, the task has become practicable, he said. Academic Council will approve the plan of setting up of the centre in Pakistan.—Agencies
