Blast kills 4
in Wana
WANA—A powerful bomb ripped through a shopping centre in the restive
Pakistani tribal region of South Waziristan on Sunday, killing four
persons and wounding six others. The explosion occur in Al-Mohib Market
at about 4:40 pm. As a result, a local tribal Wali Mohammad son of Saleh
Khan resident of Masti Khail and three others whose names could not be
known till the filing of the report died on the spot.
Six persons including a pro-government local Taliban named Mittha Khan
was injured in the incident. All the injured were rushed to the Army
Hospital Zerry Noor Wana. The blast was so powerful that it created
crafts in the nearby shops.
When contacted with Political administration Wana they told that
explosion occur in Al-Mohib Market situated in Rustom Bazaar near the
office of Pro-government Taliban Commander. Similarly, Political
Khasadar Force have cordoned off the entire area soon after the
incident, however, no arrest have so far been made in this connection.
The staff in the hospital has been put on high alert. Meanwhile, the
Grand Tribal Jirga comprising 21-member peace committee and active
elders of Masood Tribe.—Agencies |
