7 killed in Bajaur suicide attack

BAJAUR—Seven persons including three security men and two suicide attackers were killed and nine wounded in a suicide attack at a scouts vehicle in Bajaur Agency.
Assistant political agent, Naugai, Muhammad Jameel Khan told Geo News that the suicide attack was made in Umri of Mamond Tehsil in Bajaur agency, where at 10 am on Saturday a car full of explosives hit the vehicle of the Bajaur Scouts.
The persons in the car were killed on the spot whereas naib subedar Noor also died on the spot. Eleven other persons including three personnel of scouts were injured. They were taken to the hospital of the agency headquarters where two soldiers died.
Hospital’s medical superintendent Dr Amir Khan told that two pedestrians were also killed besides two soldiers while nine others wounded.
Bajaur Scouts and the political administration tightened the security in the agency after the incident whereas the Bajaur Scouts opened firing with marter guns and other heavy weapons from various places for two hours.—Agencies
