Salman, Priyanka still at war with each other

BOMBAY—The tiff between Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra continues. It is
said trouble started brewing between Priyanka and her co-star Salman
Khan on the sets of the film Salaam-e-Ishq and they have now stopped
talking to each other completely, though the actress maintains that they
have been very good friends. Trouble erupted again when Priyanka refused
to do the film Main Aur Mrs Khanna with Salman.
Sources say that the film being a home production of the Khan brothers
holds a lot of weightage for Salman. He forgot all the differences they
had on the sets of Salaam-e-Ishq and offered her an olive branch but
Priyanka refused to do the film and that irked Salman even more.
“Salman is one guy who can go to any lengths to maintain his friendship
but once irked, the actor never looks back and can be quite spiteful.
Priyanka is now trying to patch up with him but Salman is no longer
interested in reviving the friendship,” says our source.
Our source adds “Priyanka had liked the script of Main Aur Mrs Khanna
when it was narrated to her by debutant director Prem Soni and had even
agreed to do the film. But once she came to know that Sohail Khan,
Salman’s brother was going to produce the film, she backed out. The
director is now trying to either rope in Preity Zinta or Lara Dutt for
the film. Lara and Salman’s film Partner has been a box office hit in
the recent past. “Main Aur Mrs Khanna is a contemporary romantic comedy
belonging to the Hum Tum genre. The fuss over the female lead is
understandable because this one is a dream role, and any actress would
love to do it, especially since Salman and Govinda are already in the
film,” the source said.
About 60 per cent of the film is going to be shot at the Gold Coast
Airport and is said to be the first film to have a considerable portion
of it shot at an international airport. Later portions of the film will
be shot in Australia, Singapore and Dalhousie. |
