Peshawar Airport blast kills one

PESHAWAR—One person was killed and two others sustained critical injuries, when a powerful time bomb, planted in a car, went off at car parking area, outside Peshawar airport here on Tuesday.
The bombed disposal squad officials present at explosion site told inp that the blast was so powerful that the car, laden with two kilogram explosive device, was completely damaged, besides destroying boundary wall of Risalla Lane of the Pakistan army. The dead was identified as Naveed of Buner, who was the conductor of an flying coach and had started work three days before, while the injured included Siraj son of Sher Mohammad, resident of Regi, who was also an employee of the car parking, and Anwar Zaib son of Karim Bakh, airport worker and resident of Swat. The injured were rushed to Khyber Teaching Hospital.
The explosion, occurred at 7:10 am, also damaged six other vehicles, parked near the Suzuki Alto car No 5955, which exploded with big bang. After the blast the officials of police, bomb disposal squad and intelligence agencies rushed to the site and cordoned off the area.
