Work on new gas pipeline from Hattar to Abbottabd in full swing : Jadoon

ISLAMABAD—Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Amanullah Khan Jadoon Tuesday said work on laying of 16 inches diameter new gas pipeline from Hattar to Abbottabad was in full swing.
He said this while talking to a 10-member delegation of Nazmeen and notables of Havellian led by Deputy Speaker, National Assembly, Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob which called on him here and discussed matter pertaining to provision of Sui gas facility. The Minister informed the delegation that the laying of new gas pipeline from Hattar to Abbottabad would cost Rs.700 million and it would solve the low pressure gas problem in the northern parts of the country.
He said that Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited would provide domestic, commercial and industrial new gas connections to maximum numbers which would bring revolutionary socio-economic development in the area. Amanullah Jadoon assured that Sui gas facility to all the villages of Havellian would be provided by the commissioning of new pipeline. Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob said the government was taking concrete steps for the provision of basic amenities of life to the people living every nook and corner of the country.
He said the government has allocated a sum of Rs.415 million for the socio-economic development projects in the current fiscal year which would usher in a new era of progress and prosperity in the country.
The delegation appreciated the government’s efforts for providing basic amenities of life to people-particularly inhabitants of less-privileged and remote areas on priority basis.
