‘PML (Q) to succeed owing to performance, Quaid’s vision’

ISLAMABAD—The secretary general PML (Q), Mushahid Hussain Syed has said that PML (Q) would sweep the forthcoming general elections due to its track performance and keeping in tandem with the vision of the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
While addressing a seminar about Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, he paid glowing homage and tributes to the father of Nation and said that Pakistan was achieved by Quaid-e-Azam and PML, while President General Pervez Musharraf kept that vision alive.
He said that as citizens of an independent and sovereign state we Pakistanis should not behave like thankless beings, since we as a nation were much better than the neighboring India. He refuted that the two-nation theory has ever been negated and said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was an honest and committed person who was loyally followed by his masses to attain the dream of Pakistan.
He also lauded President General Pervez Musharraf for keeping his policies and commitments in tandem with the vision of Quaid, and said that PML was responsible for numerous steps towards development including the women protection bill and said that PML would play its card of Quaid and Iqbal vision and would defeat the opposition, on the basis of our performance.
Speaking on the occasion, state minister Omer Ayub said that Quaid-e-Azam gained independence for Pakistan without firing a shot, and used his vision to gain a separate homeland for the Muslims of the region.
While comparing the development of Pakistan he said that at that time Pakistan had only fourteen industries, while today it is blessed with the status of a super power. He said that our enemy India attacked us four times and was beaten back with disastrous defeats, and vowed to defeat opposing political forces under the leadership of President Musharraf.
The event was also attended and addressed by Azim Chaudhry, a veteran of the Pakistan Movement Muhammad Akhtar Kiani, Dr. Amjad Mir Khalil-Ur-Rehman and others.
