Nation salutes Quaid’s vision on 130th birth anniversary

ISLAMABAD—The entire nation would celebrate the 130th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah today (Monday) with great enthusiasm and national spirit, as the day has been announced a public holiday.
The day would be celebrated with the a pledge to transform Pakistan into a vibrant, progressive and enlightened country as envisioned by the great leader as well as to follow his principals “Unity, Faith and Discipline”. The day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for the soul of the Quaid-i-Azam and progress and unity of the country while the national flag will be hoisted at all government buildings and semi government buildings.
On the occasion of birth anniversary of founder of Pakistan, the federal government has chalked a comprehensive plan to celebrate the occasion. Various political, social and literary organisations have organised different programmes to mark the day in a befitting manner.
Various seminars and conferences would be organized throughout the country to highlight the services of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in achieving Independence of Pakistan. In Karachi, the city of Quaid, government officials and representatives of the Armed Forces would lay floral wreaths at the mausoleum of the Quaid in the morning on behalf of their services and would offer Fateha.
In Lahore, Mushairas would be organised where poets paid tributes to Quaid’s qualities of determination, strong will and dedication that enabled him to carve out a separate homeland for Muslims. In Quetta and Peshawar, workers and leaders of Tehreek-e-Pakistan would organize various functions to highlight the life, achievements and ideals of the great Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
In Federal Capital, Principals of Federal Government Girls College and Federal Government Boys College would organize various functions that the new generation is kept abreast with the ideology of Pakistan, the struggle led by Quaid-e-Azam to have a separate homeland for Muslims, Allama Iqbal’s concept of Pakistan and political struggle by Pakistan Muslim League.
Newspapers would bring out special supplements highlighting the life and achievements of Quaid-e-Azam. PTV will telecast several programmes to highlight the achievements and leadership characteristics of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The transmissions would start with the change of guards at the Quaid’s Mausoleum and culminate at the same place with a special programme ‘Rahbar-e-Tarraqi-o-Kamal’. PTV will also share this programme with all private TV channels. A special show written by noted writer Hasina Moin on the life of Quaid-e-Azam will be presented from Karachi Center.
The show will include special interviews of Alon Campbell Johnson Press Attache of Lord Mountbaton in 1947, Dina Wadia, daughter of Quaid-e-Azam, Dr Zawar Zaidi, Editor Jinnah Papers and former Foreign Minister Sahibzada Yakub Khan. Meanwhile, Government has taken extraordinary measures to avoid any
untoward incident as directions had been issued high-level officers of Police in four provinces to look after security arrangements in their respective areas. The 130th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah will be celebrated on Monday with great enthusiasm and national spirit.
The day will dawn with special prayers at mosques for the soul of Quaid-e-Azam. The national flag will fly at all government buildings throughout the country. Different programmes have also been finalized for the day including transmission of special programmes and documentaries on the life of Quaid, holding of scout rallies, March Pasts of school children, illumination of the Mazar of Quaid-e-Azam and Flag Staff House, special exhibition of relics of Quaid and arrangement of charitable and other activities by the provincial governments and private organizationsl.
