70 Indian prisoners handed over
Bureau Report

LAHORE—Pakistan released 70 Indian prisoners including 50 fishermen from Kot Lakhpat Jail and handed them over to Indian authorities at Wagha Border here on Saturday.
The Indian prisoners were arrested by Pakistani authorities for violating the border. Ansar Burni Trust transported them at Wagha where they were issued emergency visas by Indian Embassy in Islamabad. Edhi Foundation served meal to the Indian prisoners at the border.
Meanwhile, Edhi spokesman said that 19 out of the total 54 recently released Pakistani prisoners were being kept at Edhi Homes here and provided with medical aid, food and clothes. The foundation would search out whereabouts of these prisoners, who have lost their memory while in Indian jails, to hand them over to their relatives, he added.
