Traffic plan finalized for Christmas, Eid

ISLAMABAD—Islamabad Traffic Police; ITP, has formulated a special plan for maintaining smooth flow of traffic, in face of the upcoming festivals; Christmas and Eid-ul-Azha. Traffic cops have been deployed at all religious shrines, shopping areas and places of entertainment. Strict action would be taken against one-wheeling and reckless driving. SSP Traffic; Sultan Azam Temuri expressed these views while finalizing the traffic plan.
According to details, SSP Traffic; Sultan Azam Termuri, in order to maintain smooth flow of traffic at Christmas and Eid-ul-Azha, has finalized a special traffic plan. As par the plan, additional personnel of ITP has been deployed at all religious shrines, big markets, shopping areas and recreational spots. Strict action would be taken against one-wheelers, reckless drivers and car racers for which traffic teams have been formed which would patrol all over the city. Traffic violators would be penalized.
SDSP Traffic; Sultan Azam Temuri further stated that for the said two occasions, holidays of ITP staffers have been cancelled. Holiday would be granted only in case of dire emergency. He urged the citizens to abide by the traffic rules so that a smooth traffic flow could be well-maintained while warning of strict action against those disrupting the traffic system.
SSP Temuri said that ITP’s image has been enhanced through helping and assisting the masses and all out efforts would be made to maintain such endeavors. He said that ITP today stands as the best traffic system in the country for which the citizens have played a major role.
