Consensus being evolved on Autonomy Bill: Shujaat

ISLAMABAD—The former prime minister and president of PML (Q), Chaudhry Shujat Hussain has said that talks are being conducted with the polity about the Autonomy Bill.
While talking to the Baloch leader and president of BNP (A), senator Mir Israr ullah Zehri, at his residence on Friday he said that development on Balochistan projects initiated by President Musharraf are underway.
The Balochi Senator said that in order to allay the reservations of Balochi masses, anybody settled in the Gwadar area from other Provinces should not be granted any right to vote for ma period of fifteen years, and also presented his recommendations for the proposed autonomy Bill. Chaudhry Shujat lauded the recommendations and promised to review them in the forthcoming meeting, assuring the Baloch leader of granting complete rights and privileges to the Baloch masses.
Chaudhry Shujat aid that Balochistan has been always on the top priority of his preferences, and it was this spirit with which he insisted that President Musharraf start his mega projects in the Province. He said that no ruler in the history of Pakistan had ever paid that much attention over the development of Balochistan as President Musharraf himself, and his recent official tour of Balochistan disappointed many of anti-state elements.
