NoC for CNG stations

LAHORE—Nazim City District Lahore Mian Amir Mehmood has directed the “District Petroleum Committee” to decide applications for No Objection Certificate (NoC) for the installation of CNG stations within 30 days. The step is must to encourage investors and promote environment friendly fuel as per policy of the government, the Nazim said at a meeting here on Wednesday. He directed the officials concerned to issue advertisements in newspapers to seek public objections within 7 days after receiving applications in this regard. The reports from concerned departments should also be obtained without any delay and even if any department failed to respond, the NoC should be issued within one month, he said. He expressed his dissatisfaction over the delay in issuance of NoCs and said that formalities would not be allowed to block the investment. He directed members of the committee to ensure issuance of NoCs in a transparent manner and decide all pending cases for NoCs within 15 days.—Online
