‘Quaid-e-Azam source of encouragement to Muslims’

ISLAMABAD—Secretary General Pakistan Muslim League, Senator Mushahid
Hussain Sayed Wednesday said vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah
provided a source of encouragement and motivation to the Muslims of the
subcontinent to launch a vigorous movement for a separate homeland.
Addressing a session of the four day international conference on “All
India Muslim League (1906-47)” here at a local hotel in connection with
centenary celebrations of Pakistan Muslim League, Mushahid said the
quality and caliber of leadership of the Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali
Jinnah was the driving force and the important factor in Pakistan
Movement.
He said all the polticial leaders, even the opponents of Quaid-e-Azam,
had praised his leadership quality and skill. Referring to the respect
and honour of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Mushahid said PML
invited Indian leader L.K. Advani who praised the leadership qualities
of Quaid-e-Azam during his visit to Karachi and had to lost his post due
to rigid attitude of Hindus.
He said Pakistan has started renovation of the most important religious
place of Hindus at Rotas Fort, adding that Pakistan has always respect
and honour for all the religions.
Senator Mushahid regretted that fundamental Hindus, had refused to
accept the positive gestures of Quaid-e-Azam.
Referring to many books and writings, Mushahid said it was Hindus, who
injected the religious prejudices among the people while the Muslims
were accommodative and had respect for all other religions including
Hindus.
Mushahid said Quaid-e-Azam was a great leader who struggled hard for
separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent to ensure that
people should live here with respect, honour and according to their
religions and believes.
He said without Muslim League and Quaid-i-Azam, there would have been no
Pakistan. Mushahid said Quaid-e-Azam was a man of character,
unimpeachable integrity and unwavering commitment to the cause of
Muslims of the sub-continent.
Referring to leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, he said
Quaid-i-Azam was not a traditional politician, feudal, industrialist, a
bureaucrat and even did not even speak any of the local languages but
work with sincerity and commitment for the Muslims of the subcontinent.
The PML Secretary General said the Muslims had complete faith in him and
they followed his leadership. He said Quaid-e-Azam was a self-made
professional whose character and quality of leadership inspired
millions. Mushahid said Muslim League and its leaders played pivotal
role in Pakistan Movement, which is filled with sacrifices and conducive
contribution to reshaping the history. He said the international
conference is to recognise the struggle of those who worked for the
creation of separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent.
Mushahid said the hundred years of PML have been a history of struggle
and sacrifices and in this period, the Muslim League made a conducive
contribution to reshaping the history of a region. |
