Slain DIG, Abid Ali laid to rest

LAHORE—DIG Bannu,Abid Ali who was gunned down there yesterday was laid to rest at a local graveyard on Tuesday.
Earlier, his funeral prayer was held here at DHA ground this evening. Federal Interior Minister Aftab Sherpao, Interior Secretary Syed Kamal Shah,senior police officers and a large number of people of different walks of life attended Shaheed’s Namaz-i-Jannaza. Abid Ali was the only Police Officer in the country who had received two Quaid-i-Azam Police Medals and the President Police Medal. Shaheed DIG is survived by a widow, three daughters and a son.—INP
