Chairman ARD, Makhdoom Amin Fahim and chairperson PPPP, Benazir Bhutto
have held talks in Dubai regarding the prevailing and future political
scenario of Pakistan.
Sources close to PPPP have informed Online that Benazir Bhutto has
demanded, rather held a mandatory condition, that Local Bodies should be
dissolved for three months in order to ensure fair elections, because
majority of districts have pro-government nazims who can manipulate the
elections in their favor.
The government has not replied to these conditions so far, however PPPP
claims that government has also levied its own conditions in response,
which have not be replied by PPPP.
Makhdoom Amin Fahim, has also briefed Benazir Bhutto about all the
contacts and parlays being carried out with government so far, and a
future strategy was also mulled over. It has been learned that PPPP has
decided to lessen its direct criticism of Musharraf regime and to
continue its support for the recently tabled and controversial Women
Protection Bill.—Agencies |
