Kasuri, Muttaki to discuss IPI gas plan

ISLAMABAD—Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri would start a two day visit of Iran from tomorrow (Wednesday) to discuss mattes related to Gas pipeline project.
Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri during his visit would also discuss matters of mutual interest and other important regional and international issues with his counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki.
Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki has invited Khurshid Kasuri to visit Iran. Both the leaders would also discuss Iran-Pakistan-India (IPI) Gas pipeline project and would review the development so far made in this regard.
According to Foreign Office spokesperson, the trade volume between Pakistan and Iran is 670 million dollar and improvement has been made between the two countries in the last five years and it would further increased after a preferential trade agreement finalized between two countries.
A 10-member European Union’s Parliamentary delegation called on Foreign Minister Khurshid M. Kasuri here in the Foreign Office on Monday.
Foreign Minister Kasuri highlighted the importance Pakistan attached to its relations with the European Union, which was its largest commercial and development cooperation partner.—Online
