Pakistan retain Blind World Cup Cricket title

RAWALPINDI—Pakistan successfully defended its title of Blind World Cup Cricket tournament defeating archrival India by 6 wickets in the final here Saturday.
Capitan of Pakistan’s cricket team, Abdul Razzaq after winning the toss invited visiting team to bat first. Indian team could managed 225 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 40 overs.
Indian team lost its first wicket in 11th over when Ranjindara Barma run out after scoring just 12 runs. Subhash Bhoya played a brilliant innings of 54 runs during Indian innings while Ketan Patel with 36, Dalip Mandi 47 and Shekhar Naik with 25 runs were the main scorers.
It is important to mention that out of 7 wickets, 6 Indian batsmen were run out and Muhammad Waqas is the only successful bowler who get a wicket. Chasing a victory target of 225 runs, Pakistani team achieved the victory target in just 29.2 overs for the loss of four wickets.
Noor Quresh who played impressive innings of 102 runs contributed an important role to make possible for Pakistan to defend its title successfully. He faced only 60 balls to score 102 runs with the help of 1 four.
Pakistan lost its first wicket at the total of 76 in 12th overs when Aamir Ashfaq dismissed after scoring 46 runs while lost second wicket at 78 when Abdul Razzaq lost his wicket without open his account. Muhammad Akram was the third Pakistani player who lost his wicket at the total score of 224 in 29th over after scoring 62 runs. The fourth Pakistani wicket was fell at the total of 225 runs when Muhammad Faiz lost his wicket without scoring any runs. Masood Jan who scored 4 runs was remained not out.
For India Dalip Mandi and Nanjani Hali Poli took one wicket each. Noor Quresh who scored a brilliant century was declared man of the match. Governor Punjab Lt. Gen (retd) Khalid Maqbool who was the chief guest on the occasion distributed prizes among the players of both the teams.
