Chinese delegation to witness Pak-China Friendship exercises

RAWALPINDI—A Chinese Military delegation led by Lieutenant General Lu Dengming , Chief of Staff Chengdu Military Command arrived here today to witness the ongoing Pak-China Friendship exercises 2006.
The high level delegation, comprising 24 members, include senior military leadership and a group of journalists for the media coverage of the second Joint Exercises between the armies of two long lasting friendly countries. The Pak-China Joint Exercises are aimed at strengthening the existing bonds of friendship between Armies of the two countries. The focus of these exercises is to mutually benefit from each others’ experience in planning and conduct of anti-terrorist operation. Commenced on 10 December 2006, these exercises are now towards culmination stage. Earlier on arrival at PAF Base Chaklala, the Chinese Military Delegation was warmly received by Major General Sardar Mahmood Ali, Director General Military Training Pakistan Army and other senior military officials.—ISPR
