N Zealand revive run-out argument

WELLINGTON—New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming has re-ignited the the first Test run-out controversy ahead of the second match of the series against Sri Lanka.
Muttiah Muralitharan was run out by Brendon McCullum when he went to congratulate centurion Kumar Sangakkara while the ball was still in play. “It’s a mistake by them and they covered it up by taking the moral high ground,” said Fleming in Wellington. “We’re very proud of a Test win and to have that not mentioned is annoying.” Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene was surprised Fleming had fired up the issue but stood by his original opinion. “I’ve played enough cricket to know that was unsportsmanlike,” he said. “It’s over for us now. If Stephen wants to talk about it then he obviously has something in his mind which is bothering him.”
We weren’t convincing winners - there’s still enough areas of concern to have us twitchy New Zealand wrapped up the opening match inside three days but struggled against Muralitharan, who took seven wickets in Christchurch.
Murali bowled around the wicket to some right-handers and was rewarded with the wickets of Craig Cumming, Jamie How, Mathew Sinclair and Nathan Astle twice. Five of his dismissals were lbw as batsmen prodded forward to smother spin on a pitch that rarely turned.
“We weren’t convincing winners - there’s still enough areas of concern to have us twitchy,” Fleming admitted. Fleming said he would probably bowl first in Wellington, while Jayawardene wants to bat first to give Muralitharan last use of a wearing pitch.
