MMA vows to defend Hasba Bill
PESHAWAR—Muthahida Majlis Amal ( MMA) NWFP has strongly defended the
Hasba Bill against allegations of the Bill being unconstitutional and
said that the Bill has been rid of controversial clauses that previously
made it unacceptable to Apex Supreme Court.
The spokesmen MMA, Hakeem Abdul Waheed, while talking to Online, accused
the federal government of playing hide and seek with the alliance, while
the Bill stands a chance of being accepted despite not being signed by
Governor on 17th Dec, according to a constitutional clause. He said that
a high-ranking meeting of the alliance was also held in this connection,
and funds have been allocated, and ombudsmen have been delegated well in
advance.
He cited the example of other Provinces, which already have their
ombudsmen while NWFP lacks the facility.—Agencies |
