Elahi vows to re-elect President in Uniform

LAHORE—Punjab Chief Minister Ch. Pervaiz Elahi has said that sincere efforts made by the government under the leadership and development strategy of President General Pervez Musharraf have started yielding highly encouraging results.
He said that President Musharraf will again and again be elected president in uniform as his presidentship has become a symbol of stability, prosperity and national dignity. He said that Pakistan Muslim League government is implementing a revolutionary programme for the progress and strengthening of the country. He said that the promise made for the supply of Sui gas to Talagang has been honoured.
Addressing a big public meeting in the ground of Government College Talagang, on Thursday, the Chief Minister said that though People’s Party government made a number of announcements including supply of Sui gas for this area but no practical step was taken in this regard. Federal Minister for Railways Ch. Rasheed Ahmad and District Nazim Chakwal Sardar Ghulam Abbas also spoke on the occasion. Managing Director Sui Gas Rasheed Lone, Members Provincial Assembly and Nazims were also present. The Chief Minister said that present leadership believes in fulfilling its promises.
