Egyptian FM due today

ISLAMABAD—Foreign Minister of Egypt Ahmed Aboui Gheit on a two day visit to Islamabad will arrived today (Thursday) to co chair the 2nd session of Pakistan Egypt Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) with the Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri.
During the visit, Gheit will meet Foreign Minister Khursihd Mehmood Kasuri to hold bilateral consultations on wide ranging issues in the bilateral as well as regional and international context. He would also call on the President to hand over a written message by President Hosni Mubarak. This would be Gheit’s first visit to Pakistan since he assumed office in 2004 as Foreign Minister. The 2nd JMC meeting would review bilateral economic relations and explore new avenues of mutually beneficial operation. Four agreements includes agreement to setup a Joint Business Council, Cultural Exchange Programme for 2006-2010, Visa Abolition Agreement for Diplomatic Passport Holders and Cooperation agreement between the Foreign Service Academies of the two countries are expected to be singed on the occasion.—Online
