‘Clean Pakistan Program to be started in other cities soon’
ISLAMABAD—Director National Volunteer Movement (NVM) Jameel Ahmad
Tuesday said "Clean Pakistan Program"had been started from Lahore which
is a test model and would be replicated in other parts of the country
soon.
He said, main objective of this campaign is to work with common people,
motivate them for self service and also for the help of other people. He
said, when students and young people take part in the mass awareness
campaign they would become a source of blessing for their environment.
"We would also provide capacity building where necessary",he added.
Director NVM said, this campaign of clean Pakistan would improve the
health and sanitation conditions in the society and help maintain parks.
The community is being involved so that this upgradation is on permanent
basis and a link is developed with educational institutes in this regard
he said, adding and now youth would assist the government in nation
building projects. He said, at union council level the competition of
cleanliness would be held so to run this campaign on permanent basis.
"As far as NVM is concerned we are not going to replace any institution
but are only strengthing them",he added. He said , funds for Clean
Pakistan Program would be provided by local, provincial and federal
