Tribal clash leaves 25 dead in Khyber Agency

PESHAWAR—Twenty five people were killed and numerous wounded in a clash between two rival groups at Tira area of Khyber Agency on Sunday.
As per detail, the firing started between two rival groups when the opponent group fired on security pickets of the other group with heavy ammunitions. Sensing the naked threat to the writ of its authority, retaliatory firing from other group was undertaken that resulted in killing of more than 25 persons from both the sides.
The gunbattle between the two rival groups started on Saturday and was continued till the filing of this report. According sources a large number of people have been killed from both the groups, however, the political administration and the authorities of FATA secretariat denied comments when contacted. Meanwhile, a government official seeking acute anonymity told this news agency that as a result of the firing between the two rival groups more than 25 people have been killed.
