Fazl blasts US, UK for support to Govt

KARACHI—The leader of Opposition in National Assembly Maulana Fazlur Rehman has strongly denounced the sham democracy under the despotic rule in Pakistan, while expressing his outrage at America and Britain for supporting the un-democratic government of Pakistan.
While addressing a 15000 strong rally against the Women Protection Bill at Shariah -e- Quaideen, arranged by Tahaffuz Hudood ullah, Sindh Chapter, he strongly condemned anti-Quranic and anti-Sunnah laws being freely promulgated, while talks about amending the Khatam -e-Nabuwat bill have started circulating, warning that any such shameful endeavors, would be strongly resisted by him along with 14 crore masses of Pakistan.
He said that legislation of the Country is subject to constitutional constraints, but is being openly flouted in Pakistan, and strongly condemned America and west for their outrageous remarks about the fallibility of Pakistan’s Constitution.
He lauded the recent statement of MQM chief Altaf Hussain and invited PPPP for a mutual political dialogue. He said that masses of Karachi have rejected the women bill, which has been introduced by toadies of the west, who have themselves rejected the Islamic Hasba bill as un-Islamic. He blamed President Musharraf as a total failure, who was running an election campaign to hide his economic failures at home. In order to deviate public reaction he was trying to restore his image by taking steps against religious elements in order to appease and please his foreign masters. An APHAC (All Parties Hudood Ullah Conference) has been called on 14th December in Lahore, while in a resolution passed by Ulema , has been issued for media which announces a general strike on Friday and a spate of Ulema Mashaikh conventions in Quetta.
Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal President Qazi Hussain Ahmed Sunday regretted that due to the shabby policies of the incumbent regime Pakistan was on verge of a disaster both on internal and external fronts.—Online
