Indian Defence Minister to visit LoC on 10th

JAMMU—Indian Defence Minister A K Antony will inaugurate a model village for army constructed near Line of Control in Poonch district during his visit on December 10, Defence sources said. Antony, who will visit occupied Kashmir for the first time as Defence Minister, will also review border fencing, ground sensors, thermal imagers, battle field surveillance equipment used to check infiltration along LoC, they said.
Besides, the Minister will interact with the field commanders and along with senior Army officers review the security situation, counter insurgency operations and suicides by Army personnel, they said, adding he will also address a press conference at Jammu at the end of his one-day tour to the State.—Agencies
