139 fishermen released from Indian Jail

KARACHI—India has released 139 Pakistani fishermen and they will reach Pakistan after completing the required formalities including issue of passports and other travelling documents, fishing sources said here Thursday.
These fishermen were in Indian jails for violating territorial sea limits. A source in Fishermen Cooperative Society (FCS) said that a delegation of Society will receive fishermen whenever they arrive at Wagah border.
He pointed out that about 585 Indian fishermen were in Pakistani jail for fishing in Pakistani waters. He said a Counselor in Indian High Commission in Islamabad, S K Reddy was in the city to present food stuff, cloths, towels and slippers to Indian fishermen on Friday.
