O.354m vehicles challaned during last 11 months

RAWALPINDI—Accelerating their campaign against traffic violators, Traffic Police Rawalpindi Range challaned O.354 million vehicles and recovered Rs 61.4 million during last eleven months.
It has been told that during eleven months, Traffic police has been virtually on their toes and have challaned O.354 million vehicles and recovered Rs 61.4 million from the traffic violators that included influential persons too in the drive. During the drive against traffic violators, more than 670 tape recorders were removed while various drivers who were below 18 years of age and without license were fined on the spot whereas pressure horns were removed from motorcycles.
While giving details, SSP Traffic Sabir Ahmed said that during the last eleven months traffic police is working very hard to ensure that traffic laws are fully followed adding that 47795 drivers were arrested on committing serious crimes relating to traffic violation and 484556 vehicles were impounded.—Agencies
