Functions being finalized for centenary celebrations of PML

ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Muslim League has been making arrangements for three-day international conference on ALL India Muslim League in connection with centenary year celebrations of Muslim League.
The three-Day International Conference on All India Muslim League will be held here on 18th December with a view to create awareness of the younger generation about Pakistan Movement.
Secretary General PML Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, said that centenary celebrations of PML will promote the message of Pakistan Movement and project the struggle of Muslim Leaguers who worked for the creation of separate homeland for the Muslims.
Addressing the meeting of Preparatory Committee for the Centenary Celebrations of Muslim League here today, Senator Mushahid said government had declared December 2006 to December 2007 as the year of the Centenary Celebrations of Muslim League.
He said a committee has been constituted with Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz as its Chairman he himself as its Secretary.
Senator Mushahid said directives have been issued to all ministers anddivisions to celebrate the year with zeal and enthusiasm.
All the provincial governments, and especially the educational institutions, universities, colleges, schools have also been asked to prepare viable plans to celebrate the year as the centenary year of Muslim league.
Different organizations and institutions have also been asked to publish research studies, highlighting the role of the All India Muslim League and Pakistan Movement.
Special programmes would be prepared by PTV and Radio Pakistan while newspapers will publish special supplements.
Seminars, conferences and workshops will be organized at different cities to highlight the struggle of the Muslim League.
Special postage stamps of various denominations would be issued by the Post Office to mark this occasion while special posters and broachers would be issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
