arrested in Ajmer
New Delhi—Thirteen Pakistanis, who are on a visit to India, have been
detained by police for visiting Ajmer without valid visa and will be
sent back home on Monday.
Pakistan High Commission immediately took up the matter with the Indian
Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) here and inquired about status of the
visiting Pakistanis.
Later talking to APP Special Correspondent here, Acting High
Commissioner to India Mr Afrasiab told that the Commission was conveyed
by MEA, the 13 Pakistanis who travelled to Ajmer without valid visas
were not arrested, but detained.
The detained Pakistanis would be brought back to New Delhi tomorrow and
sent back home on Monday, added Mr Afrasiab. The relatives of the
visiting Pakistanis approached the Foreign Office in Islamabad after
they failed to find out their whereabouts in India. Meanwhile, an Indian
TV channel also aired a news about the detention of 13 Pakistanis.
The 13 Pakistanis had come to India on November 28 and were putting up
