Motorway Police extinguishes truck fire

ISLAMABAD—National Highways & Motorway Police saved a big loss of lives and material after promptly extinguishing fire on a truck of G.T. Road.
Motorway Police officers during routine patrol on G.T. Road near Sukkur, observed fire in a truck No.P-2206. As they approached the truck, it revealed that bags of corns loaded on the truck were burning and the driver was unaware of it.
The officers of NH&MP immediately informed the driver of truck aboutthe situation and directed him to drive the truck to an open place.In the meantime the NH&HP also informed the fire brigade. The Motorway Police officers arranged water and doused the burningbags of corns to extinguish the fire. As a result,the fire was extinguished completely. The people crowded at the scene lauded NH&MP officers for their timely action.—APP
