Drive against Govt to continue unabated:
Qazi
RAWALPINDI—The president of MMA and Amir JI, Qazi Hussain Ahmad has
declared the move against the government as on, and has said that people
have rejected the enlightened moderation of President Musharraf as a
free gateway to obscenity and levity.
While addressing a huge rally after Friday Prayers at Jamia Taleem
Ul-Quran he urged public to be ready for a mass agitation in Islamabad
against the regime after the meeting of Supreme Council of MMA, which
would turn the tide against the government. He also scoffed at the
government propaganda about differences in MMA as a total failure, since
despite the act that the differences exist they were nominal and just a
matter of routine as in politics.
He said that MMA is not a political entity as such but should be seen
and considered in a wider aspect of spiritual unity among all the sects
and school of thoughts of Ulema, which poses a formidable challenge to
all anti-Islamic elements.
He strongly condemned the statement of (an NGO) Aurat Foundation, which
has demanded a free right for women to expose their bodies if they
wanted to! And declared that no honorable woman can survive such an
obscene Bill, and she should rather abide by her male kin and certainly
not any other male.
He also berated President Musharraf for declaring a secular and
anti-Islamic Kamal Atatturk as his idol, and declared that the President
holds a long list of atrocities to his credit, which include a massive
exploitation of masses versus Pakistan Army and taking gullible
responsibility for American attack on Bajour seminary.
He also berated military operations in Baluchistan, rampant inflation,
growing lawlessness, and expressed his total distrust of any possible
free, fair and transparent elections in the country under the present
regime.
He called upon the masses to spread out in Rawalpindi Islamabad and
agitate against the government at their whim, and said that nothing
would stop the inter Country rallies, since nothing would deter us true
followers of The Holy Prophet (PBUH) from agitating, rather than
affecting a compromise over our principles.
Addressing the rally, secretary general MMA, Rawalpindi Abdul Majid
Hazarvi said that the whole Nation was a true and faithful follower of
The Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his precepts, and not of an anti-Islamic
element like President Bush, and vowed to clear Pakistan of any American
agents.
The president of MMA, Rawalpindi Allama Abdul Jaleel Naqvi also rejected
the government’s propaganda and declared open rejection of its secular
agenda, while Maulana Ashraf Ali offered his salutes for Dr. Abdul
Qadeer for his contribution in making Pakistan a nuclear power
The recent MNA, Hanif Abassi who resigned from the assembly recently
also addressed the rally, expressing his pride at shunning the useless
seat of Assembly, and challenged Chaudhry Shujat to offer his
resignation, now that it has been proved that Women Protection Bill is
against the sanctity of Islam.—Online |
