Seminar on religion, social harmony

Islamabad—National Council for Interfaith Dialogue (NCID) organized a one day seminar on Religion and Social Harmony. This seminar was presided over by Naila J. Diyal, Chairperson of NCID. The chief guests of the seminar were Prof. Mushtaq Victor, Minister of State for Minorities and Allama Inayat Ali Shakir, Chairman Tehrik-e-Akhuwat-e-Islami, Pakistan while Msgr. Javier H. Corona, Dy. Head of Mission of the Holy See Embassy in Pakistan and Rev. Fr. Francis Nadeem OFM Cap. Vice Provincial Pakistan and Coordinator NCID were the guests of honor.
In the beginning Muhammad Riaz Khan welcomed all the guests. During this seminar speakers said that it is the time that people of all the religions should come closer to each other. We have to promote the religious and social harmony within our day to day life. We must respect and accept and be open to each other and work together for the development and betterment of our country. They said that all the religions of the world advise us to love humanity and to eliminate all sorts of hatred and enmity.
The speakers also recognized and appreciated the role and efforts of the NCID for peace building, social and religious harmony within the country and assured of their cooperation and support towards all the future programs of the council.
Other prominent guests on this occasion were; Dr. Nusrat Ali Sabri, Rev. Fr. Asif John, Miss Rehana Rahi, Eric John, Sardar Anop Singh, Om Parkas and Allama Sajjad Hussain Naqvi. A number of people from all walks of life also participated in the seminar.
