IIUI to make Women Campus independent

ISLAMABAD—Acting President International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI)
Friday assured female members of the University Staff Welfare
Association (USWA) to make the University’s Women Campus absolutely
independent and to minimize male presence in the Women Campus to maximum
possible extant.
He stated this while addressing a gathering of female staff of the
University organized by USWA for thanking new administration of the
University for a number of steps that have improved working conditions
in the Campus.
Responding to issues raised by female members of the Association, Dr.
Siddiqui said that lack of staffers at the Women Campus will be covered
on priority bases, however, mutual cooperation and a true spirit of team
work is the real key to successful administration.
He agreed to write off admission and monthly fee of the Day Care Centre
at the Women Campus and to provide further appliances to the Centre to
provide maximum comfort to the infants and toddler of female staff
working at the Campus.
Three more buses are going to be purchased for female staff soon while
action is underway on arrangement of information desk at Women Campus,
appointment of female provost, alternative leaves for working on
holidays, construction of gymnasium for girls and substituting overtime
payment with honorarium.
Dr. Siddiqui asked female workers to work for promotion of higher
education through serving the University with a renewed sense of
motivation and make strengthening the noble cause of knowledge and
education a hallmark of their career. He appreciated performance of
female staff of the University and assured them to solve most of the
problem within the resources of the University.
On this occasion, Haji Masood Ahmad, President USWA thanked Dr. Siddiqui
and placed great expectations on the new leadership of the University.
He assured the University management of his Association bursting support
and determined efforts to play their role in the development of the
University.
Mrs. Shamim Niazi, member Executive Council, USWA, while representing
female members of the Association, appreciated Dr. Siddiqui for his
dynamic leadership administration and said that workers of all levels at
the University will not disappoint its leadership.
