Review appeal filed against PSM verdict

ISLAMABAD—The decision of The Apex Supreme Court against the privatization of Steel Mill has been challenged and a petition regarding the issue has been filed.
Te Apex Supreme Court comprising of Chief Justice Iftikhar Ahmad Chaudhry, Justice Muhammad Nawaz Abassi, and Justice Saeed Ashad has issued notices to all the parties and Attorney General.
Mr. Sharif uddin Pirzada while appearing on behalf of the privatization and elaborating the standing of plaintiff said that since a larger Bench conducted the previous hearing of the case, it does not augur well for a small 3-panel bench to review this case, hence requested for a larger bench like previous for the review.
After initial arguments, the Apex Court issued notices to the Attorney General, Makhdoom Ali Khan and others like head of the Watan Party, Zafarullah and Peoples Labor Union, adjourning the hearing for an unspecified time.—Agencies
