Pak, Saudi military war drills begin

BAHAWALPUR—Joint Military Exercise between Royal Saudi Land Forces (RSLF) and Pakistan Army commenced here on Monday.
Exercise “AL-SAMSAAM-2” (Sharp Sword) is a sequel to the series of exercises, which are routinely carried out from time to time between the two Armed Forces. A mechanized contingent of RSLF and elements of Armour, Infantry, Artillery, Air Defence, Aviation and Air Force are participating from Pakistan Armed Forces.
These exercises are being conducted with a view to enhancing cooperation and understanding between the two Armed Forces and to allow sharing of experiences in the field of military operations. In the three weeklong joint exercise, participating troops of both forces are likely to gain maximum from the expertise of each other.—Agencies
