Anti-Govt strategy next month: Zafar
CHICHAWATNI—Chairman Pakistan Muslim League - N, Raja Zafar-ul-Haq has
said that after resignations from members of Mutahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA)
on December 7, PML-N would announce its strategy against the government
in this regard.
Addressing party workers via telephone from Islamabad here Saturday, PML-N
Chairman said that the resignation policy put the country in political
crises. Raja Zafar-ul-Haq informed that Party Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif
not only discussed the current political situation with Benazir Bhutto
but also talked with MMA leaders including Qazi Hussain Ahmed, Maulana
Fazal-ur-Rehman, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed and Liaqat Baloch and suggested the
convening of All Parties Conference on resignation issue.
Raja Zafar-ul-Haq said that Mian Nawaz Sharif wants combined
resignations from the opposition which would be vital to pressurize the
government. PML-N leader claimed that after the resignations of MMA, it
would be difficult for the government to survive as it would be an
utmost task for the government to conduct by-election on 64 seats
vacated after MMA resignations, he added. Raja Zafar-ul-Haq said that
the option of resignations is under consideration by PML-N and would
take the final decision after the resignations of MMA. PML-N Chairman
said that there are no differences among parties including in the
Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy (ARD) and historical Charter
of Democracy (CoD) is in intact, he added.—Agencies |
